How to Find Free Web Space

Every Web page needs a home, and finding free Web space for your home page is very easy.

Things You’ll Need:
Computer Mice
Modems
Internet Service Providers
E-mail Software
Search Engines

1
Check with your Internet service provider (ISP). Most ISPs offer 2 to 10 MB of Web space with your account.
Step2
Visit Web sites that offer directory listings of free Web space. These sites typically allow you to select the options you need and display a list of providers meeting those needs.

Step3
Determine the amount of space you need. In Internet Explorer, find the file for one of the pages on your Web site; right-click on the file with your mouse and select Properties. Multiply this number by the number of Web pages you plan to add.
Step4
Read the provider's terms and conditions before agreeing to use its site. Some providers require banners or other ads to be placed on users' Web pages.

step 5
Print out the instructions for uploading your site to the provider's site. Read the FAQ (frequently asked questions) or send an e-mail message to technical support if you have any questions.
Step6
Upload the site following the printed instructions.
Step7
Type the address you were assigned into your Web browser to view your uploaded Web pages.
Step8
Send an e-mail announcing your new Web site.
